Chiropractic

The Family Health Trust Process

Chiropractic healthcare is a process. Don’t expect to pay a single visit and be done. Think about it like going to the gym. Getting your muscles in shape takes time. Structural changes to your spine will take time, as well.

Chiropractic Biophysics

This is different than what most would consider to be traditional chiropractic care. Chiropractic Biophysics is the most scientific and researched form of treatment in the field of chiropractic care. It involves a precise analysis that allows us to make structural changes to the spine. It gives us increased accuracy for treating spinal misalignments.

Treatment for Spinal Degeneration

We expect to see three structural components when we look at the X-ray taken of a normal spine.

The first thing we want to see is a nice curve. It supports the spine. Then we want to see large spacing between the vertebral bodies of the spine. They’re more commonly called the discs. We also want to see nice square vertebral bodies.

Our bodies can lose the curves from an injury.

The loss of this curve is called Stage 1 of spinal degeneration. If we don’t return the curve to your neck and spine, it will degenerate to Stage 2. You’ll start to lose height as the space between the bones in your spine shrinks. Left untreated, the spine’s health moves to Stage 3. Further decreased height occurs. Bone spurs form along the outer edges of the vertebral bodies. The spine reaches Stage 4 without treatment. Permanent degeneration has occurred. People in this stage often are in constant pain and have poor quality of life.

Our goal is to catch things before they reach Stage 4. We’ll bring you back to wellness and make a difference in your life.

Traction

We use this treatment often at the center. Our version was invented and patented by Dr. Sheehan. The process applies a small sustained force to the neck. The process helps the natural curves return to the spine. Don’t let the name scare you. Traction is painless and actually very comfortable.
